Compressed Laminated Wood:
Parternish between layers of beech veneers and phenolic resin where the beech veneers are kiln dried to a given moisture content, cut and assembled into packs with a film of synthetic resin coating the individual veneers. Packs are subjected to extreme pressure and temperatures causing them to be bonded to form laminated board.

Maple Plywood:
Hard.
High strength to weight ratio.
Low cost.
High resistance to abrasion and wera.
Springy.
Difficult to work with.
Reasonable staining and finishing.
Fine and even texture.
Straight grain.
Medium density.
Good for steam bending.
Needs to be pre-bored for nailing and screwing.
Is found in Europe, the USA and Canada.
Used in domestic and industrial flooring, squash courts. bowling alleys, roller skating rings, shoe lasts, rollers for textile production, furniture, turned ware and maple syrup.
